Monk Fruit (Siraitia grosvenorii) commonly known as Luó Hàn GuÇ’ or "Buddha Fruit" is a perennial Cucurbitaceae-family herb. Monk Fruit is a native plant from China and has been cultivated for more than 200 years.
Monk Fruit has been consumed as a part of traditional Chinese Medicines to treat lung congestion, colds, and sore throats. Now, it's consumed as a non-caloric natural sweetener.
Cultivation
To produce high quality Monk Fruit, it is best cultivated at Mountainous Area with high rainfall and humidity with cool temperature.




*Not only mogroside V, but other water extracts like mogroside IV and VI, siamenoside I and 11-oxo-mogroside V are considered to be responsible for strong sweetening property in monk fruit
